No Time For Love
Label: Rubber Records
Australian to the bone, The Casanovas have AC/DC in their shorts. But their harmonies in "Strange Dreams" and the grandly funky "No Time for Love" also betray a purty power-pop influence; speedup "One More Time" recalls the mid-'80s Necros; and "Here's To It" sounds like KISS' "Strutter" given a more Nugent-descended riff. They open their 2005 album surviving the city, but before long they're on their knees turning Japanese, and by "10 Outta 10," they've "got a thirst for knowledge/ Wanna get to college," some hot teacher's keeping them after class and they've garnered girls and good grades.
