Lost and Found
Label: World Circuit
Almost 20 years after the release of Buena Vista Social Club comes a collection of outtakes and concert performances by the craggy Cuban musicians. Compay Segundo and Ibrahim Ferrer come back to life on big band numbers and traditional acoustic Cuban songs that will never lose their charm. The album spotlights surviving original members Omara Portuondo and Eliades Ochoa, and the experimentation achieved on subsequent solo albums by Buena Vista musicians (Cachaito's "Black Chicken 37" is a standout). Lost and Found uncovers more treasures from the historic Havana recordings.
