The duo's first album is probably the strangest record to come out in 1969. Opening with a creepy church-chant and moving through a range of seemingly unrelated ideas that confound as much as they succeed, the LP has the pop moves, superb arrangements and weird positivity that marks the rest of their work -- yet remains completely different. A really interesting record.
