Eleven (very) familiar Smokey Robinson tunes are trotted out in duet form. All the guests are clearly in awe, as well they should be when standing alongside the man Bob Dylan adjudged one of America's greatest poets. Produced as a clear labor of love by American Idol's Randy Jackson, the album finds Smokey himself in fine vocal form, and while hearing Elton John hamming up "The Tracks of My Tears" or John Legend burning lightly on genre-naming classic "Quiet Storm" won't make you forget the originals, Steven Tyler's feral yowl fits perfectly into "You Really Got a Hold on Me."
