The opening tune -- about sneaking out of town for a tryst by the riverbank -- makes this some racy stuff, but Floyd Tillman's 1949 "Slipping Around" has never been handled more roughly than by the Detroit Cobras. The band's debut with the Bloodshot label stays true to their mission as early rock champions, whether in the form of novelty tunes ("Hot Dog [Watch Me Eat]") or bad-girl heartbreakers ("Weak Spot").
